The house

A Miami preserved.

Casa Marela occupies a 1939 Art Deco building by Henry Hohauser, in the heart of the South Beach Historic District. After a seven-million-dollar restoration led by Steven Paul (SP Media Group, Hollywood), the house reopens with seventeen suites — none identical, all serene.

We kept the original façade — zigzag friezes, fluted columns, porthole windows — and rebuilt the rest: hand-poured terrazzo floors, Belgian linen, brushed brass, Lisbon tile. Silence on Ocean Drive: a rare luxury.

Five minutes' walk from Miami Beach Marina, ten from Lincoln Road, a single block from the ocean. South Pointe Pier at sunrise, Joe's Stone Crab at dusk, Wynwood on Saturday. The house is your base — not your itinerary.

Seventeen suites means we know your name. Front desk twenty-four hours, concierge in four languages, the pool never crowded. The idea is simple: the quiet luxury of a South Beach you thought was gone.

"A restoration that superseded our expectations. Sense of detail everywhere — the linen on the sheets, the brushed brass tap, the fresh flowers every morning. South Beach as it used to be, without the noise."

"Stunning restoration, true gem in Miami Beach. The owner clearly poured his soul into this place. The rooftop at sunset is unforgettable. We'll be back for our anniversary."
